Knitty McKnitterson

...or something like that.

I was looking back at some of my old posts, and decided this is as good a place as any to catalog my knitting ADVENTURES.

Currently, I am making approximately 800 million coffee cup cozies to raise money for the Relay for Life (Willows Warriors, yo!) Except, I keep futzing with different patterns and I still haven't found one that I really like. I tried a couple of patterns that were knit in the round. After much valiant effort, I can officially say that I really, really, REALLY hate knitting with DPNs. Seriously. There is way too much going on there, trying to manage 4 or 5 needles at once, and I can't get my tension right for the life of me. Ladders, ahoy.

I then attempted Magic Loop knitting, which I actually really liked. The problem is that all my circular needles are from Clover, which have a fairly stiff cable, which made it a little unwieldy and a lot annoying to use Magic Loop. I think I may need to order some circular needles with a more flexible cable--perhaps these?

For now, I am knitting them flat and then seaming them. Except, I somehow lost all my decent seaming skills, and I'm not happy with how they're looking. Le sigh.

At least it's fairly mindless knitting, and they only take about an hour to make. (They should take less, but my knitting perfectionism forces me to re-do my seams once or twice, ahem.)
